Happy Mother's Day!

It is my very first Mother's Day...and it is quite strange that a holiday that has always celebrated my mom and grandmothers now includes me. This day holds even greater importance to me now that I have the beginning glimpse of what being a mom entails. As I told my mom this week, no matter how many times I have expressed my love and appreciation of her, I now know that it was never enough. I also have greater admiration for all of my friends who are moms...whether several times over, or with their very first. Dearest friends and fellow mommies, you are all quite simply amazing.

We snuck out to the park this afternoon between naps. It was a little chilly and windy, so Cameron wasn't in much of a smiley mood. But at least we got our first Mother's Day documented.

3 Months Old!

It's hard to believe, but little Cameron is already 3 months old! He has settled into a good sleeping pattern and we are getting caught up on our sleep as well. More and more of his personality emerges everyday, which makes for exciting times for Mommy and Daddy. Here are some recent pictures of the little guy.

2 month update

Well the little punkin (okay, chunkin) has been puttin on the LBs - making up for a slow start. He's on a feeding frenzy recently, eating like a champ. We go in tomorrow for his 2 month checkup to see how much he's put on since the last time. He was 6-2 at birth, then 6-7 at week 1, then 9-0 at 1 month, and we'll find out tomorrow what he's up to at 2 months. I'm guessing over 12, but we'll see. It's fun to start to see a little personality coming out as well, so he's more than just an eating, sleeping, and pooping machine. Tracey is doing amazing as well - we're catching up on sleep and he's into a more consistent routine. Good stuff for sure. Okay, enough chit-chat, on to some more pictures!
His two month old outfit and picture.
Check me out everybody!
I love my Mommy!

Happy Easter from the Mini!

Happy Easter, everyone! Here are a few recent pics of Cameron! We went to church on Sunday and Cameron got to meet a bunch of our friends. The funniest part of the morning was during worship. Kevin was holding Cameron in his arms, and had his head in his hand. Kev was kind of swaying back and forth in time to the music and singing and Cameron was shaking his head around like he was dancing. It was hilarious!

Here's Cameron in his Easter outfit with an adorable little smile on his face. Don't you just love those little shoes?

Okay, so one of Cameron's nicknames is "Scooter". I can't tell you how many times we have gone into his nursery to find him in a completely different place from where we left him. This time he moved so far I had to take a picture. His head started on the left side of the photo, and when he woke up he was all the way down in the corner. Where does he think he's going?

Go Lakers!

Will you please check out Little Man's crooked toe? This is his right foot, and the 4th toe totally curls under the other toes. The doctor says that either it will fix itself once he starts walking, or will get worse and we'll have to do something about it. For right now, it's pretty funny looking...and totally adorable!

4 Weeks Old!

Little Cameron is 4 weeks old today! I truly cannot believe that 4 weeks have passed since he was born. Time seems to pass so oddly. There are days where I think, "how is it still Tuesday? It has been Tuesday for a month!" And then you turn around and 4 weeks have passed, and I wonder where in the world it has gone!

Cameron finally got over his cold, thank goodness! But, of course, since he coughed and sneezed all over me, I got sick at the end of last week. Kevin's mother was here, and rearranged her trip to stay a few more days so I could get over the worst of it. She heads home tomorrow, and it will again be the 3 of us...and for the first time we'll all 3 be well!

We're on about a 4 hour feeding schedule right now, both day and night. In general, Kevin and I are feeling pretty good...I think we're just getting used to functioning with less sleep. More then anything, we are starting to enjoy the entire experience more. I just have to say, Kevin is the most amazing father. He has WAY more patience then I do, particularly when Cameron is fussy in the middle of the night. He changes diapers like a pro, and has the magic touch when it comes to getting Cameron to sleep. He has fantastic "Daddy intuition". Poor Cameron would be much worse off if he was stuck with just me!

Here are a few fun pics of our little guy, including his first tub bath!

Here's Cameron in his first tub bath. He loved it! He gets the most adorable blissed-out expression on his face. And it's super entertaining for Mom and Dad.

Here's a little video Kevin took of him - not the best quality since it's just with a webcam - but captures a nice little sneeze!

Bleh. Gets this expression from his Daddy.

Cameron resigned to being burped.

Bye bye!
